My First Vector Vehicle.
The reference is of my uncles "Bad Ass" 57' Belair.
Its a little more cartoon-ish then I was hoping for. I'm just happy it looks like a belair.

Comments, Critiques, and :+fav: are very appreciated.

I used Adobe Illustrator CS5.1 to make this VECTOR

I used the Pen Tool for the car, rounded rectangle for the background, and the Text tool for the text.

I only have a mouse. (no art tablet yet)

Effects used are Gaussian Blur on the car, Gradient on the background.

My reference was my uncles 57' Belair.

looks like you used all the tools i used making mine except maybe the gradient mesh tool. I used thousands of little pieces to get most of my detailing. the wheel and rim closest to the veiwer in my picture took me 20 hours to do. i really like the cartoony look though. I layed shapes on top of each other and used as little gradients as possible. I also used transparencies in my gradients to get the shine on the sides. For the top and the back i used gradient mesh. For gradient meshes i would start out with a square, guess where color would change then move the verticies around to make the shape you want. Then move the points created inside the shape from the gradient mesh tool to create the change in color. I'm not sure if that last part made any sense.
